Consumption in New Jersey

Owners and operators of commercial buildings in New Jersey that are 25,000 square feet or larger.

Data Collection:

Benchmarking Tool:
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
Reporting:
Submit data annually to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU).

Deadlines and Penalties

Compliance became mandatory as of October 1, 2023.
Reports are due July 1st each year for the previous year’s consumption. A 90-day grace period applies.
