Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group sells over 120,000 tons of coffee each year through 20 international consumer brands, making it one of the world’s largest coffee groups. Not only do they care about producing quality coffee, they also are committed to practicing good environmental stewardship and community involvement. That is why they wanted to partner with an Energy Advisor who could not only help them cut costs to maintain a more consistent operational budget from month to month, but also take a deeper dive into evaluating their energy use and seeing if there were ways to become more sustainable.

Approach

After partnering with Kelly Mallin of EnerConnex, they explored various pricing options from a large supplier network as well as gained a better understanding of their monthly energy usage, Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group was able to lock in at a much lower rate for their electricity. This provides them with the budget certainty and energy guidance that they were seeking.

Outcome

EnerConnex implemented a fixed energy program for Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group in 2016 and have continued to work with them to reduce their energy costs. Over the past 4 years, EnerConnex has saved them $270,000 and look to save an additional $100,000 over the next 24 months.
