Lorraine has been active in the energy industry for over 25 years in demand and source management roles associated with both wholesale and retail energy commodities markets. Her experience includes the full spectrum of engineering, sales, and management positions across utility, manufacturing, technology, and consulting companies.

Ms. Alexander began her energy career at DTE Energy in various roles marketing to both regulated and deregulated customers. After seven years at DTE Energy, she moved to the demand side of the industry as Director of Engineering at William Beaumont Hospital, and Performance Contracting Sales Director at Johnson Controls. Over the last ten years at World Energy and Enernoc, Lorraine honed in on her skills utilizing technology to help utilities source wholesale electricity and natural gas for their ratepaying customers. She understands the challenges utilities face in delivering energy to their ratepayers safely, reliably, and economically while maintaining stakeholder interests.

Lorraine brings her vast wholesale utility experience to EnerConnex helping utilities manage cost and risk through the use of the ECX Marketplace energy procurement platform; a newly developed compliance-based auction system designed around the proof sophisticated energy market makers require. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Detroit, Michigan
